1985 Delaware Arabian Oaks
& 1983 California Champion 3 Year Old Filly of
the Year. One of the most celebrated
mares of all time, FLYING TESSIE
+ ran against such greats as Tyrix, Sams Count
and Count
Galagor.
Tessie won by 31 1/2 lengths at Delaware Park, a track record for any breed
and she carried more weight ( 130 lbs. ) at a longer distance than
any other
stakes winner in 1985.
